"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!

Usual system is that the shrine links (faves) the pics on the artist`s page. Though I`ve seen some people doing also that way that artists have sent the stuff to be published. But for the copyright reasons, it`s easier and safer that the shrine clicks the related pictures to the favourites (and recommended setting is to make the favourites random also.)
Anybody with the related stuff can send a link to the related shrine and then shrine owner adds the picture to the favourites.
Hmm.. Shouldn't these pics be on favourite archive?
Anyway! Harley rocks!
